We’re passionate about helping children grow and learn

Welcome to Happy Feet Childminding

Welcome to Happy Feet Childminding, we are a small setting with up To 12 children per day from the of ages of 0-8.We have been running for over 15 years and were previously know as 1st Love childminding.

In April 2025 we decided to rebranded our setting to Happy Feet Childminding. In our last inspection we received a ‘Good’ rating from Ofsted . Although our Ofsted rating is important to us, first and foremost are our parents and children. We work very closely with you to ensure that you are content and that your child feels safe, valued and happy when in our care.

Home from Home Environment

Happy Feet Childminding is more than just a setting. We are a family and key to our service is delivery of a home from home environment where children and families feel part of our family. We are not corporate,  which enables us to tailor our service to the needs of each child. Our environment is carefully planned and our curriculum structured to ensure the individual needs of each child in our care.

Some of our Key strengths:

A safe and homely environment

Provides a secure, familiar, and nurturing space for children to learn and develop with love from staff and their peers.

Teaching Children Spanish and Portuguese

Children under 5 years can adopt pronunciations and recreate sounds, the brain is more flexible, languages through play and immersion is a great way to learning new sound and word.

Gentle learning and learning through play

Play is our brains favourite way of learning, through play children not only learn about themselves but the world around them.

Healthy Eating

It’s important to offer children a wide range of foods, textures and flavours in early years of development to increase the variety of foods children will eat. This can encourage healthier eating choices later in childhood.

What we do inside we do outside.

There is no such thing as bad weather just bad clothing, being outdoors helps children brain development and is great for building the immune system.

Diversity Statement

At Happy Feet Childminding we believe in promoting equal opportunities for everyone and we value diversity in children, parents, carers, staff, visitors and all others we come into contact with.

We believe that all children have an entitlement of, equal access to a broad balanced, relevantly differentiated care and learning opportunity. We strive to ensure that all children develop self-confidence and high esteem whilst we recognise and value differences between themselves and others.

The diversity of individuals and communities is valued and respected. No person including children, families or staff members are discriminated against
